Starship Titanic - speed paint

I have always had trouble with getting scale and perspective right so I am now producing a series of speed paintings to try and explore how best to go about it.

I have used a reference loosely for this painting which was from Oblivion the film. I am hoping to use as little reference material as possible, challenge accepted.
